SWAP SHOP IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2023 SEASON
GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE OPERATION OF THE SWAPSHOP IS LISTED BELOW:

The Swap Shop is a part of the diversion practices that MCSWC supports.
NO ITEMS MAY BE LEFT AT THE SWAP SHOP AFTER HOURS!
FEES: Are now collected on items brought to the Swap Shop to help defer cost of eventual disposal of items and material unable to be diverted for reuse.
$1.00 Minimum charge fee for items donated to the Swap Shop
$2.00 Large items such as: Stuffed chairs, small desks, small chairs, shelving,
filing cabinets, etc.
$4.00 Large Bulky Items such as: Couches, Large Furniture, Tables, Desks, etc. Items must be considered in good shape and clean

You never know what treasures you’ll find at the Pick of the Litter Swap Shop! Mid-Coast Solid Waste offers this service to our community to encourage re-use of materials, in order to diminish unnecessary waste processing.
Please stop at the Gatehouse to review potential donations with an attendant. All incoming items must be inspected before being accepted in to the Swap Shop program. A Mid-Coast Solid Waste employee or volunteer will determine if material is suitable for the swap shop, and any appropriate fees needed to cover the potential recycling cost of items that do not leave the facility. All decisions are final. Items not accepted will need to be disposed of in the proper manner, subject to standard fees.
Swap Shop Hours
The Swap Shop is open Tuesday – Saturday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please note that the entire facility is closed Sunday and Monday.
No items may be left at the Swap Shop when it is closed.
