MID-COAST SOLID WASTE WILL BE CHANGING THEIR FEES AS OF JULY 1ST FOR CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS AND DEMOLITION AND OTHER ITEMS BROUGHT TO THE LANDFILL:
SEE PUBLIC NOTICE BELOW
This is just a reminder of the published public notices that the new fee for landfill material is going up on July 1st. The fee increase applies to material that is bound for the landfill. The tip fee for other types of waste and household trash collected at the transfer station will remain the same.
An increase in our wood chip sale price is also taking effect on Saturday, July 1st.
All household recyclable materials (except some hazardous household waste and electronic waste) are accepted free of charge at the transfer station. Feel free to make use the Swap Shop to drop off other acceptable items that still have a useful life as another way to divert your waste. The Swap Shop is open Tuesday through Friday 9 am to 2 pm. In some cases, item charges will still apply when donating items to the swap shop, as not all items move on and may require disposal after donating.
The Management of Mid-Coast Solid Waste Corporation is sensitive to the effects this increase may have on individuals and businesses in our community, and we continue to work to keep costs down. We would like to remind those depositing waste in the landfill on a regular basis, that the most effective way to keep your costs down is to divert waste from the landfill by repurposing or recycling the most material possible.
